The company’s net sales for the last quarter of 2022 were US$175.5 million, higher by 22% compared to the same period of 2021 (US$144.3 million). While sales for the full year 2022 (US$554.9 million) were 4% higher compared to the same period of 2021 (US$532.2 million).
On the other hand, in the last quarter of 2022, the company’s EBITDA amounted to US$45.6 million, representing a decrease of 14% compared to the same period of 2021 (US$53.1 million). EBITDA for the last 12 months of 2022 amounted to US$194.3 million, 14% lower than in the same period of 2021 (US$225.7 million).
The company’s net result as of December 31 was US$65.2 million, the same amount as that achieved in 2021 (US$65.2 million).
During the last quarter of last year, the Punta Lomitas Wind Power Plant project continued its construction. In November, the 2 power transformers of the project’s Sub-Station were successfully energized; and by the end of December, 38 wind turbines were assembled (of the 57 in total, including their expansion), of which 4 were synchronized with the National Interconnected Electric System and, with this, the first green electrons of what will be the largest wind power plant in the country with 296.4 MW (including its expansion) of total capacity began to be generated in test mode.
On the other hand, Apoyo & Asociados Internacionales and Moody’s Local PE Risk Rating Agency reaffirmed their risk ratings to the company with the local “AAA” category. This category corresponds to the highest level of solvency, stability and payment capacity.
Finally, ENGIE Energía Perú won first place in the Environment category with the Citizen Environmental Monitoring and Surveillance Committee (CMVAC) in the ESG and Sustainability Awards of Semana Económica for its performance at the Thermoelectric Power Plant of the Energy Node.
