As a power generator, ENGIE Energia Peru is committed to low-carbon energy and energy infrastructure as part of its DNA and to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. We work hand in hand with our stakeholders to promote the generation and use of increasingly clean energy through various projects.

Renewable energy

Today, a wind power plant called Punta Lomitas is being developed, which would consist in the installation of 57 wind turbines, distributed over an area of 77 hectares, with a unit capacity of between 4.5 and 5.2 megawatts per wind turbine; and a 60 kilometer electric transmission line that would connect the wind farm to the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN).

The best projects for our clients

ENGIE Energía Perú has a portfolio of clients at a national level. At the end of 2019, our portfolio of free and distribution clients added up to a contracted power -at peak hour- of 1,857.2 MW. Of this figure, 959.9 MW correspond to free clients and 897.3 MW to distribution companies, thus maintaining a diversified portfolio of contracts and responding - satisfactorily - to a difficult context of oversupply in the electricity sector.
For the satisfaction of our clients and seeking commercial excellence, ENGIE Energía Perú provides a customer service through a Single Point of Contact and Control and Supervision Center in Lima, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
